  1. Great slide show. Should be mandatory viewing for all schoolchildren 10 years old or more, as well as for anyone who sat through Al Gore’s sci-fi horror flic.

  2. Yes, Rich, that was a nice slide “show,” however I question the accuracy of many of your facts. As we all know, Al Gore discovered and has conducted in-depth research into global warming. So much so, in fact, that he won a Nobel Prize, which I believe came with a gift certificate of some sort. That’s right…a Nobel Prize. So I wondered to myself, “has Rich Trzupek ever won a Nobel Prize?” So I conducted my own research on the Internet, which was invented by Al Gore, and discovered that no, Mr Trzupek has never won a Nobel Prize. So I ask, who should the American people believe? As for me here in Council Bluffs, I am doing what I can for Global Warming. Just today, my wife bought a Mini Cooper in order to get 45 mpg and reduce her carbon footprint. I drove her to the Mini Store in my big SUV, then on the way home, I wanted to see just what that little Mini could do, so I raced her home. She almost beat me, but I just kept stomping on my big ol’ SUV gas peddle and finally came out ahead.

  3. Brad,

I suspect I was out drinking when my prof delivered the “arguments put forth by failed divinity students who win the Noble Prize in a category that has nothing to do with science trumps all other scientific arguments” lecture. And, as you astutely point out, myself and all of the other environmental scientists and climatologists who have questioned Gore’s theories are challenged, when it comes to winning Noble Prizes. C’est la vie.

When one challenges one’s religious beliefs (as AGW theory undoubtedly is) there is bound to be an angry reaction. No way around that. Still, as an actual scientist, I will chose to side with the Galileos on this topic over the many Urban VIIIs. It still moves.

    Cheers,

    Rich

  5. I’m concerned about the flatulence being produced in Washington over the healthcare bill, War policy on Afghanistan, and the mortgaging of our country to China. That’s one big giant assed carbon footprint being left behind from our “leadership.”
